If you are using Windows 7, keep it! Windows 7 is rock solid and works perfectly.
There is no reason to upgrade to Windows 8, 8.1 or Windows 10. In fact the latest version of Windows 10 still has bugs, which interfere with the smooth operation of your Computer.
Microsoft is spending a lot of money advertising Windows 10, espousing its enhanced benefits. There are some decent enhanced features, but Windows 10 still has problems.
Windows 10 has a new browser; which was Internet Explorer and is now called “Microsoft Edge”. Microsoft Edge has a Google like presentation but actually uses Microsoft’s Bing search engine. This is Microsoft’s way of re-introducing “Bing” which was never embraced by the marketplace.
As you will see, “Bing” has completely different search results than the industry leader Google that currently maintains 63.8% of all online search results.
Windows 10 has wireless and printer connectivity issues, which will get you to “pull your hair out”. In all fairness, Microsoft is releasing updates every week in an attempt to fix their current Windows 10 problems, but why should you suffer while they figure them out?
In our opinion, you shouldn’t have to bear the brunt of an Operating System that was released prematurely. Bugs with Windows 10 still exist, as do those with Windows 8 and 8.1. The release and heavy advertising of Windows 10 seems to be an effort to soften the annoyance the marketplace is feeling towards Microsoft currently.
If you have Windows 7 keep it. Microsoft provides updates for it, peripheral manufacturers continue to make drivers for it and it works perfectly.
If you want to have the most current version of Microsoft’s Operating Systems for your PC (the bleeding edge) then go ahead and upgrade to Windows 10. In all probability, you will be calling us to fix something, which doesn’t work anymore.
We are experts on all versions of Windows including Windows 10, 8, 8.1, Windows 7 and even Windows XP, something that Microsoft stopped supporting over a year ago. We can provide you with a “fix” which will allow Windows XP to continue to receive updates thru 2019. That’s magic!
Happy Computing!
